Funkmaster Flex Rants Against Jay Z… Again
Funkmaster Flex is going hard at Jay Z.
Earlier this week, the DJ dropped bombs on Hot 97 while dissing Jay's lifestyle blog, Life+Times, after he said he was asked to do an interview and the writer tried to dig into his relationship with Dipset. Then on Friday night (Jan. 16), he continued the beef, when he took to Instagram with a photo of a alleged text message from Jay that read "This is HOV," which he claims was sent after he declined a number of his phone calls.
Apparently, Flex was upset because Jay put "HOV" in all caps... and threatened to continue his verbal onslaught against him.
"Really? After calling private for hours you texting with CAPITAL letters????? This guy thinks it 1997 ????" Flex relayed in the post's caption. "Tomorrow 7pm I got this???? I see you need a tune up and lesson in respect!!!!!"
Flex ranted about Jay on Hot 97 again, as promised in the IG post on Saturday (Jan. 17), calling him out with a number of insults and promising not to let up if he responds.
"You are a corporate commercial rapper that drops a little catch phrase every three months," the DJ said on the air.
"We are not scared of you. This radio station doesn't need you or care," Flex later added. "If you ever plan on taking a shot like that at me or any sublim, I will be on this radio every day going at you."
You can hear the rant, in its entirety, :
